Chhapaak Trailer: Pratim D Gupta, Ram Kamal Mukherjee Is All Praises For Deepika Padukone
The upcoming film will see Deepika Padukone essaying the role of acid attack survivor and how she changes things around her. With Chhapaak, Deepika also turned into a producer and the film is slated to release on January 10, 2020
Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak trailer starring Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey has been released. The film, which has been trending, has got appreciation from several Bollywood stars who went to their social media handle to praise the film and Deepika Padukone for her acting.
Tollywood director Ram Kamal Mukherjee and Pratim D Gupta also took to their social media handle and praised Deepika. Pratim D Gupta wrote, “So brave... So brave... She started out as a model with a big question mark whether she can act. And now she doesn't need her face to lead a film from the front. And tell an important story like this, not just as an actor but as a producer. So brave... So brave.”

In the film, Deepika is essaying the role of an acid attack survivor. Her character's role name is Malti. Acid is thrown on her face which changes her face completely. Malti hates her face but slowly things changes and she starts loving her face. Malti even starts a campaign against selling of acid in the market so that any other girls don’t face it.
This film is based on a true events. Deepika is playing the role of Laxmi Agarwal. In 2005, acid was thrown on her face when she was just 15-year-old.
